Dentist Open on Saturday in Missouri City, TX

Written by Dr. Thanh Huynh, DMD, FAGD — Missouri City Dentistry

If your week is already full before 5 p.m. shows up, taking a half-day off for a dental appointment isn’t realistic — and it shouldn’t have to be. Missouri City Dentistry is open Saturdays, with real availability for exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and same-day emergencies. Here’s exactly what that looks like and how to get on the schedule.

What are Missouri City Dentistry’s hours?

Our Saturday hours are 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. Here’s the full week:

Day Hours
Monday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Tuesday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Wednesday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Thursday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Friday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Sunday Closed

We keep weekend hours because a lot of Missouri City, Sugar Land, and Fort Bend County patients can’t take a weekday off — shift schedules, hourly jobs, kids in school, or simply a job that doesn’t hand out sick days for a filling. Saturday is often the only day that works, so we staff for it instead of treating it as an afterthought.

What can you actually get done on a Saturday?

Saturday isn’t a scaled-down version of the practice. Patients get seen for:

Honestly, some things do get pushed into the week — mostly procedures that need a full team and a longer chair-time block, like implant surgery or a multi-step denture fitting, and anything involving sedation. Sedation visits require fasting instructions ahead of time, so those get scheduled and planned rather than slotted in same-day. If you’re not sure whether your treatment fits a Saturday, call 281-747-9988 and we’ll tell you straight.

Got a dental emergency on a Saturday?

Call first. We hold same-day emergency slots on Saturdays from 9–3, but they go by phone, not walk-in — calling ahead lets the team prep before you arrive instead of you waiting behind a full schedule. If it’s a knocked-out permanent tooth, that call is time-critical: reinsert it into the socket if you can, or store it in milk and get to us within 30 minutes if possible.

An emergency problem-focused exam and limited X-ray starts at $95, and we verify your insurance before treatment so you know your out-of-pocket first. If we’re closed when you call, you can book online and we’ll confirm the next available slot as soon as we open.

One caveat worth saying plainly: severe swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or facial trauma need the emergency room, not a dental office. For everything short of that — throbbing pain, a cracked tooth, a lost filling, an abscess — call us first.

Does insurance work the same on Saturday?

Yes. Saturday visits go through the same process as any weekday appointment: we verify your plan before your visit and tell you your out-of-pocket cost before we start treatment — no surprises after the fact. We’re in-network with most major PPO plans, including Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Guardian. If you don’t have insurance, financing is available through Cherry and CareCredit, and full details on pricing and payment options are on our insurance and financing page.

New patients are welcome on Saturdays — you don’t need to have been seen here before, and you don’t need to book weeks out. Call 281-747-9988 or use the online scheduler to grab a Saturday slot.

Worth the drive from Sienna, Riverstone, or Sugar Land?

Plenty of our Saturday patients aren’t driving from next door. We’re on Hwy 6, with free on-site parking and a ground-floor suite, and Saturday appointments are one of the main reasons families from across Fort Bend County make the trip:

If a weekday drive during rush hour is the actual barrier to getting dental work done, a Saturday morning across town is usually the easier trade.

FAQ

Do I need to be an existing patient to book a Saturday appointment?

No. New patients are welcome on Saturdays, same as any other day. Call 281-747-9988 or book online to get on the schedule.

Can I get a tooth pulled on a Saturday?

Extractions are one of the procedures we regularly handle on Saturdays. Call ahead so we know what’s going on and can plan the visit accordingly.

Do you take insurance on Saturdays?

Yes. We verify your PPO benefits and give you your out-of-pocket cost before treatment, same as any weekday visit. We’re in-network with most major plans, including Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Guardian.

What if my emergency happens after Saturday hours end?

Call 281-747-9988 — if we’re closed, you can leave a message or book online and we’ll confirm the next available slot as soon as we open. For severe swelling, trouble breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, or facial trauma, go to the emergency room.

Ready to book? Call 281-747-9988 or reserve a spot through the online scheduler — Saturday slots, 9 AM to 3 PM, fill up by the week.
